Melanotan-II (MT-II, MSHa)

Melanotan and Melanotan-II are both analogs of the peptide hormone alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone ( -MSH) that tend to induce skin tanning. Unlike Melanotan, Melanotan-II has the additional effect of increasing libido. Melanotan II has aphrodisiac properties. Molecular weight of 1024.2 dalton.\n\nAmino Acid Sequence: Ac-Nle-cyclo[Asp-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Lys]-NH2\n\nStorage and Stability: \nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Aliquot reconstituted material to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
