Cell-permeable. A macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) antagonist. ISO-1 inhibits MIF pro-inflammatory activities by targeting MIF tautomerase activity. Also inhibits tumor necrosis factor (TNF) release from macrophages isolated from LPS-treated wild type mice but has no effect on cytokine release from MIF deficient macrophages. Solubility: DMSO (>25 mg/ml) Molecular Weight: ~235.24 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
