mu-Conotoxin KIIIA
A Potent Blocker of Mammalian TTX-Sensitive Nav1 Channels.
mu-Conotoxin KIIIA is a synthetic toxin originaly isolated from the venom of Conus Kinoshitai. mu-Conotoxin KIIIA specifically and in some cases reversibly blocks TTX sensitive mammalian voltage dependent Na\+\ (Na\ V \) channels.
In addition, mu-Conotoxin KIIIAwas found to act as an effective analgestic in an inflamatory pain assay in mice in vivo. Ion Channel Modulators; Voltage - Gated Na+ Channel Blockers.
