Established in 1982 from an adrenal gland metastasis of a small cell lung cancer from a man in relapse following treatment; cells were described to be tumorigenic in nude mice and to express elevated levels of L-dopa decarboxylase, neuron-specific enolase, creatine kinase and bombesin-like immunoreactivity
