NCI-H69/LX4 has been established by exposure of the parent line, H69 to doxorubicin, also known as adriamycin. The line hyperexpresses P-glycoprotein and demonstrates a multidrug resistant drug accumulation deficit. It is recommended to culture the cells without drug after resuscitation until the first passage.
