Neurokinin B Receptor (MGC148060, MGC148061, Neuromedin K Receptor, Neurokinin 3 Receptor, NK3 Receptor, NK-3 Receptor, NK3R, NK-3R, NKR, Tachykinin Receptor 3, TAC3R, TAC3RL, TACR3)

TACR3 otherwise known as NK3 Receptor (NK3R), is a 52.2kD multi-pass membrane protein belonging to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. TACR3 is a receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide, neuromedin-k otherwise known as neurokinin B and is highly expressed in the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei. Following binding of its ligand, NK3R activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, and it is likely that these signals lead to the release of vasopressin and oxytocin into the circulation. Studies with mice indicate that TACR3 is involved in learning and memory.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml\nWestern Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
