Neuropeptide Y Receptor, Type 1 (NPY 1R)

Neuropeptide Y is one of the most abundant neuropeptides in the mammalian nervous system and exhibits a diverse range of important physiologic activities, including effects on psychomotor activity, food intake, regulation of central endocrine secretion, and potent vasoactive effects on the cardiovascular system. Two major subtypes of NPY (Y1 and Y2) have been defined by pharmacologic criteria. NPY receptors, such as NPY1R, have been identified in a variety of tissues, including brain, spleen, small intestine, kidney, testis, placenta, and aortic smooth muscle.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:500-1:1000\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:500-1:1000\nImmunocytochemistry: 1:500\nIndirect Immunofluorescence: strong positive labeling of rat cortex, arcuate and hippocampus by using biotin/avidin HRP detection.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
