Neutrophils (Ly-6G NEUTROPHIL MARKER, Gr1, Gr-1, Ly-6G, Ly-6G.1, Lymphocyte antigen 6G precursor, Lymphocyte antigen Ly-6G.1 precursor) (FITC)

The Ly-6G locus encodes for a family of Ly-6 proteins including Ly-6G. This protein is expressed on mouse neutrophils, a subset of eosinophils, a differentiating pre-monocytes and plasmacytoid dendritic cells. N2254-01Ahas been succesfully used to stain neutrophils for fluorescent activated cell sorting and in frozen and paraffin sections. Furthermore it has been shown to be useful for depletion of neutrophils in mice. It depletes neutrophils as soon as 6 hours after injection and up to 6 days. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Functional studies. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: Incubate 5x10e5 cells with 10ug/ml antibody (ref 4)\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50 Block with 20% normal rabbit serum (ref 5)\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:50 acetone fixation recommended (ref 7)\nFunctional Studies: Neutrophil depletion. MIce were treated with N2254-01A given intraperitoneally at a dose of 1mg, 6 hours before infection (ref 6)\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Positive Control:\nMouse neutrophils\n\nRecommended Negative Control:\nMouse thymocytes\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
