NFATC2 (NFATc2, NF-ATc2, NFATP, NFAT1, T-cell transcription factor NFAT1, Nuclear factor of activated T-cells, cytoplasmic 2)

NFATC2 is a 135kD member of the NFAT family of transcription factors. NFATC2 is found in T cells and mast cells where it regulates cytokine transcription, Th2 cell differentiation, and cell cycle entry. The transactivation function of NFATC2 is regulated by phosphorylation at Ser53, Ser56, Thr116, and Ser170. Human NFATC2 is 925aa in length. It contains a calcineurin-binding site aa111-116, a transactivation domain aa119-199, two NLS aa251-253-664-666, an RHD that binds DNA aa392-574, and one NES aa904-913. An alternate splice form has a substitution of the C-terminal 18aa. Human NFATC2 shares 96% aa identity with mouse and rat NFATC2.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
