Transcription factor, which binds preferentially the consensus sequence 5'-TAAGT[AG]-3' and can behave as a transcriptional repressor (By similarity). Plays an important role in normal prostate development, regulating proliferation of glandular epithelium and in the formation of ducts in prostate. Act as a tumor suppressor controlling prostate carcinogenesis, as shown by the ability to suppress growth and tumorigenicity of prostate carcinoma cells. Play a role in the formation of minor salivary glands (particularly palatine and lingual glands). Essential for appropriate differentiation and secretory function of the bulbourethral gland.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:1,000\nWestern Blot: 1:100-500\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Do not freeze R-Phycoerythrin conjugates. Light sensitive. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
