NLRP1/NALP1 (NACHT-, LRR- and PYD-containing Protein 1, Caspase Recruitment Domain-containing Protein 7, Death Effector Filament-forming Ced-4-like Apoptosis Protein, Nucleotide-binding Domain and Caspase Recruitment Domain)

NALP1/NLRP1 is able to form cytoplasmic structures termed death effector filaments. It enhances and stimulates apoptosis through activation of different caspase cascades. It is involved in the activation of caspase-1 and caspase-5 as part of the NALP1 inflammasome complex which leads to processing and release of IL1B and IL18.\n Genetic variations in the NALP1/NLRP1 gene are associated with susceptibility to vitiligo-associated multiple autoimmune disease type 1, an autoimmune disorder characterized by the association of vitiligo with several autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases including autoimmune thyroid disease, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
