NOD2 is a member of the apoptosis regulating protein family that includes caspase recruitment-domains, as well as Apaf-1 and NOD1. It contains two N-terminal CARDs, a nucleotide binding domain (NBD), and multiple C-terminal leucine-rich repeats (LRRs). NOD2 is expressed in monocytes (whereas NOD1 is expressed in multiple tissues). NOD2 plays a role in regulating NF-kappaB, acts as an intracellular receptor for bacterial lipopolysaccharides, and contributes to inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and Crohn's disease.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
