Nogo 66 Receptor (Ngr)

NgR, also named reticulon 4 receptor, is a glycosylphosphoinositol (GPI)-anchored protein that belongs to the family of leucine-rich repeat proteins. NgR plays an essential role in mediating axon growth inhibition induced by the myelin-derived proteins Nogo, myelinassociated glycoprotein (MAG), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (Omgp). Upon ligand binding, NgR associates with and activates the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR), a tumor necrosis factor superfamily member (TNFRSF16). \n\nHybridoma:\nProduced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant mouse Nogo receptor (rmNgR) extracellular domain. \n\nApplications: \nWestern Blot, Direct ELISA \n\nRecommended Dilution:\nDirect ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse NgR. The detection limit for rmNgR is approximately 10 ng/well. Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse NgR. The detection limit for rmNgR is approximately 25 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
