Notch-1 (so named for "notches" in fly wings; also TAN-1) is a 300kD, 2538aa member of the notch family of type I TM glycoproteins. It is associated with gene activation in both embryo and adult. It undergoes Golgi processing to generate a heterodimer composed of a 180-200kD disulfide-linked extracellular domain, and a 120kD membrane-bound segment that is cleaved to form the notch intracellular domain transcription factor upon ligand binding. Mouse Notch-1 ECD (aa19-526), including the first 13 EGF repeats, shares 91% and 95% aa identity with corresponding regions of human and rat Notch-1, respectively, and 55-58% aa identity with mouse Notch-2 and Notch-3. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: 25ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
