Noxa

Noxa is an 11kD member of the BH3-only proapoptotic protein family. Noxa is localized to the mitochondria and is a transcriptional target of p73, p53 and BH3-only proteins. It is thought to induce apoptosis when activated, lowering the activity of anti-apoptotic Bcl-2-like proteins. It can be upregulated by mitogenic activation, independently of p53. In humans, along with Mcl-1 it is thought to form a selective pathway that restrains lymphocyte proliferation.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Detects a band of ~11kD.\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
