Vbeta6 T cell receptor (TCR Vbeta6) is a variant of TCR beta chain and along with TCR alpha chain forms the TCR heterodimer. In association with the CD3 complex, TCR alpha/beta is responsible for antigen recognition in the MHC-Peptide complex and the initiation of the T cell-mediated immune responses. Murine Vbeta6 cells recognize the Mtv-7, Mls-1, and rabies superantigens.
