Peroxiredoxin 5, Recombinant, Human (PRDX5, ACR1, AOEB116, B116, PLP, PMP20, PRDX6, PRXV, SBBI10)

Peroxiredoxin 5, also known as PRDX5, is a member of the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes, which reduces hydrogen peroxide and alkyl hydroperoxides with reducing equivalents provided through the thioredoxin system. This protein may play an antioxidant protective role in different tissues under normal conditions and during inflammatory processes. It has been reported that peroxiredoxin 5 is involved in intracellular redox signaling. \n\nSource:\nRecombinant Peroxiredoxin 5 protein was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.\n\nMolecular Weight: \n17.0kD(162aa)\n\nAA Sequence:\nMAPIKVGDAI PAVEVFEGEP GNKVNLAELF KGKKGVLFGV PGAFTPGCSK THLPGFVEQA EALKAKGVQV VACLSVNDAF VTGEWGRAHK AEGKVRLLAD PTGAFGKETD LLLDDSLVSI FGNRRLKRFS MVVQDGIVKA LNVEPDGTGL TCSLAPNIIS QL\n\nStorage and Stability:\nFor long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C/-70 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C/-70 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
