Binds specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it. Binds to nascent polypeptide chain and promotes folding in an environment in which there are many competing pathways for nonnative proteins.Heterohexamer of two PFD-alpha type and four PFD-beta type subunits. Binds to MYC; interacts with its N-terminal domain. Represses the transcriptional activity of MYC.Highly expressed in pancreas and skeletal muscle and moderately in other tissues.Belongs to the prefoldin subunit alpha family.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
