Phosphodiesterase 2A, NT (PDE2A, cGMP-Dependent 3',5'-Cyclic Phosphodiesterase, Cyclic GMP-Stimulated Phosphodiesterase, CGS-PDE, cGSPDEm)

PDE2A is a 100kD cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE). Three isoforms of PDE2A have been reported (PDE2A1, PDE2A2, and PDE2A3) which arise from a single gene by alternative splicing events. PDE2A can degrade both cAMP and cGMP, but degrades cGMP with greater efficacy.\n\nPDE2A is expressed in a variety of tissue types, with greatest expression in the brain, where it is localised in the cerebellum and neocortex. PDE2A has been implicated in penile erectile dysfunction and in the regulation of fluid and inflammatory cell transport across the endothelial cell barrier.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 15-25ug/ml\nRequires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control Tissue: \nKidney\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
