Phosphothreonine (O-Phospho-L-Threonine, Anti-Phosphothreonine Inhibitor)

This anti-phosphothreonine inhibitor can be utilized in ELISA and Western Blot applications to block the specific interaction of antiphosphothreonine primary antibodies with threonine phosphorylated proteins(1,2).\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Usage:\nThis inhibitor is recommend for use with anti-phosphothreonine primary antibodies to distinguish specific versus non-specific binding of these antibodies in ELISA and Western blotting experiments. The inhibitor should be used at a final concentration of 20 mM to block the specific binding of an anti-phosphothreonine primary antibody. For Western blotting, inhibitor solution and primary antibody are added to a BSA containing blocking solution and pre-incubated for 5- 10 minutes prior to application to the membrane. Incubations are typically carried out for 1 hr at room temperature. Following the incubation with the inhibitor/antibody solution, standard procedures are followed for blot washing and incubation with a secondary antibody.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nStore at 4 degrees C or colder. Stable for at least 6 months at 4 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
