Prepared media should be kept at 4 degrees C and used within a short period of time.\n\nThe Protein Expression Media Kit is intended to help maximize the amount of soluble protein produced during expression of recombinant proteins in E. coli. This comprehensive kit includes samples of Expression Media and two reference media, Glucose M9Y and LB (Miller) Broth. The Expression Media are specially designed to increase the production of recombinant proteins. The kit also includes new medium additives: LB Booster and Augmedium. LB Booster is designed to increase the bio-mass production of any expression medium up to 5-fold. Augmedium is a medium pre-conditioner that induces the expression of chaperone proteins in advance of expression of the target recombinant protein. This can increase the amount of soluble protein accumulated. \n\nMethod: Helps to maximize the amount of soluble protein produced during expression of recombinant proteins in E. coli.\n\nPreparation: Reagents \nDissolve the contents of the LB Booster packet in 20mL deionized water and filter sterilize using a 0.2um filter. The stock solution will be 20x. Store at 4 degrees C. \n\nDissolve the contents of the Augmedium container in 25mL deionized water and fi lter sterilize using a 0.2um filter. Aliquot 5mL portions into sterile 15mL conical tubes and store at -20 degrees C. The stock will be a 50x solution.
