Protein Kinase C, iota, lambda, phosphorylated (Thr555/Thr563) (PKCi, PKC, Atypical Protein Kinase C lambda/iota, aPKC lambda iota, PRKCL, DXS1179E, MGC26534)

Cat no: P9103-70B

Protein Kinase C, iota, lambda, phosphorylated (Thr555/Thr563) (PKCi, PKC, Atypical Protein Kinase C lambda/iota, aPKC lambda iota, PRKCL, DXS1179E, MGC26534)

Protein Kinase C, iota (PKCi) is a 76kD member of the atypical group (cPKCs: sensitive to diacylglycerol, phosphotidylserine and phorbol esters) of the PKC family of serine/threonine kinases that are involved in a wide range of physiological processes including mitogenesis, cell survival, transcriptional regulation and tumor promotion. Phosphorylation of PKCi plays a key role in protein trafficking. Phosphorylated PKCi is implicated in high glucose-induced T type II transforming growth factor-beta activity, TNF-a-stimulated NF-kB activation and Bcr/Ablmediated anti-apoptotic effect.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:1000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nJurkat cells treated with PMA, a phorbol ester.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
