A 2,6,9-trisubstituted purine that promotes the differentiation of both human and murine mesenchymal progenitor cells into osteoblasts. It directly binds to and activates 7- transmembrane Smo receptor of the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at 4 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at 4 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at 4 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
