It is a ligand for the transmembrane signal regulatory protein alpha 1 (SIRP alpha) and a receptor for thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) . The interaction of CD47 with other molecules can regulate various biological processes such as adhesion, apoptosis, and proliferation.
