Rabbit Anti-Human COT monoclonal antibody for WB. COT (Cancer Osaka thyroid oncogene) also known as MAP3K8/TPL2 (Mitogen Activated Protein kinase 8/Tumor Progression Locus 2). This oncogene is a member of the serine threonine protein kinase family and is localized in the cytoplasm. It is known to activate JNK kinase and MAP kinase pathways along with activating IK-B kinases aiding in nuclear production of NF-KappaB. The production of IL-2 and TNFalpha during T cell activation is also mediated by COT/MAP3K8/TPL2. In addition to this, COT/MAP3K8/TPL2 also aids in T-cell costimulation, signal transduction, and amino acid phosphorylation. In humans, the MAP3K8 gene encoding COT/MAP3K8/TPL2 is present on chromosome 10.
