Rabbit Anti-Human IL-23 monoclonal antibody for WB. IL-23 is a member of the IL-12 cytokine family which is produced by dendritic cells and other antigen presenting cells in the peripheral tissues. This cytokine is a heterodimer composed of an IL-12p40 subunit, and a p19 subunit. IL-23 plays an important role in stimulating memory T-cells. It is also required for the induction, expansion, maintenance, and downstream effector functions of Th17 cells. Th17 cells play a vital role in upregulating neutrophil chemokines and various pro-inflammatory cytokines. IL-23 interacts with the receptors IL-12R beta1 and IL-23R to activate the Jak-Stat signaling cascade.
