Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2 (SATB2) or DNA-binding protein SATB2 is a nuclear protein bound to DNA at nuclear matrix- or scaffold-associated regions for transcriptional regulation and chromatin remodeling. It is expressed in colorectum and majority of their carcinoma. It is mostly negative in carcinomas from prostate, pancreas, stomach, lung, breast, and ovary.
