Rabbit Anti-Human SNCA polyclonal antibody for IHC-P. Synuclein alpha is a protein of 140 amino acids and a member of the synuclein family, which includes three known proteins: alpha-synuclein, beta-synuclein and gamma-synuclein. They are small, soluble proteins expressed primarily in neural tissue and in certain tumors. The alpha- and beta-synucleins are found primarily in brain tissue where they are seen mainly in presynaptic terminals. It may be implicated in the formation of Lewy bodies and the selective degeneration of neurons in sporadic Parkinson's disease and Lewy body dementia. This antibody is specific for alpha-synuclein and does not cross react with beta-synuclein and will be useful for stuides for he localization and detection of alpha-synuclein.
