Ras-GTPase-activating protein SH3-domain-binding protein; GAP binding protein; RasGAP-associated endoribonuclease G3BP: This protein is one of the DNA-unwinding enzymes which prefers partially unwound 3'-tailed substrates and can also unwind partial RNA/DNA and RNA/RNA duplexes in an ATP-dependent fashion. This enzyme is a member of the heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding proteins and is also an element of the Ras signal transduction pathway. It binds specifically to the Ras-GTPase-activating protein by associating with its SH3 domain. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunoprecipitation: 2.5ug. Immunoprecipates RasGAP from 500ug of A431 cell lysate.\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml. Detects GAP in 10ug of A431 cell lysate. \nImmunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml. Detects RasGAP on A431 cells fixed with ethanol acetic acid (50:50).\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Antigen Control:\nA0001-50A: A431 Cells, Non-Stimulated in RIPA Buffer, w/o Sample Buffer\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
