Resistin-like Molecule, beta (RELMb) (Biotin)

A family of resistin-like molecules (RELMs) has been identi?ed in rodents and humans. Resistin is a hormone produced by fat cells. RELMalpha is a secreted protein that has a restricted tissue distribution with highest levels in adipose tissue. Another family member, RELMbeta, is a secreted protein expressed only in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly the colon, in both mouse and human. RELMbeta gene expression is highest in proliferative epithelial cells and is markedly increased in tumors, suggesting a role in intestinal proliferation. Resistin and the RELMs share a cysteine composition and other signature features. Thus, the RELMs together with resistin comprise a class of tissue-speci?c signaling molecules. \n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA (Direct, Sandwich): 0.25-1.0ug/ml. Using 100ul/well antibody solution.Detects 0.2-0.4ng/well of rhRELMb. R1587-22A can be used as capture antibody in sandwich ELISA.\nWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit of rhRELMb is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, PBS, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. \n\nCountry of Origin:\nUSA
