Source:
Respiratory Syncytial Virus, long strain, grown on a monolayer of MA cells.
Preparation:
Purified from cell fragments by low speed centrifugation (4000rpm, 40 min). The virus was then collected by high speed centrifugation at 18000 rpm for 2.5 hrs (SW27 rotor). The pellet was diluted with STE buffer and layered over linear 30-60% sucrose gradient. The sample was recentrifuged at 25000 rpm for 2.5 hours at 4C. The virus band was collected, diluted with STE buffer and pelleted by centrifugation.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
