RFC3 (Replication factor C subunit 3)

Replication factor C (RFC) is a heteropentameric complex consisting of one large subunit, RFC1, and four small subunits, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4 and RFC5. This complex is required for efficient loading of PCNA onto DNA templates during processive DNA synthesis. A second RFC-related related complex is formed from interactions between Rad24, RFC2, RFC3, RFC4 and RFC5. This complex serves to load the heterotrimeric DNA damage checkpoint clamp (consisting of Rad17, Mec3, and Ddc1) onto partial duplex DNA in an ATP-dependent manner. The DNA damage checkpoint response arrests cells at appropriate points in the cell cycle to allow recovery of the integrity of the DNA before reentering the cell cycle.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot:1: 2,500-1: 10,000\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Secondary Reagents: \nSheep anti rabbit IgG: HRP\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
