Cat no: R2031-71D

RIG-1 (Retinoic Acid Inducible Gene 1 Protein, RIG-I, Probable ATP-Dependent RNA Helicase DDX58, Dead Box Protein 58, DDX58)

RIG-I is a receptor found in the cytoplasm that recognizes viral RNA from replicating viruses in infected cells. Upon activation with intracellular RNA, a cascade is triggered resulting in the activation of NF-kappa-B, and the eventual induction of antiviral cytokines such as IFN-beta and RANTES. RIG-I is essential for the production of interferons in response to RNA viruses and as such play a key role in innate immunity.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 5ug/ml\nWestern Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: Human heart\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
