Replication protein A (RPA) is a single-stranded DNA binding protein. Human RPA is a heterotrimeric protein containing subunits of 70, 32 and 14kD. This protein complex is highly conserved in eukaryotes and is essential in DNA replication, homologous recombination and nucleotide excision repair. RPA has been shown to be a target for DNA-dependent protein kinase (DNA-PK) ataxia telangiectasia-mutated gene (ATM) and a cyclin dependent protein kinase.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: HeLa, Raji, N1H 3T3 cells and recombinant fusion protein.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
