RT1B (MHC Class II Monomorphic)

Cat no: M3887-49M

RT1B (MHC Class II Monomorphic)

The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In rats, this complex is referred to as the RT1 region. In mice, this complex is referred to as the H-2 region.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nFlow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100 Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul.\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-1:100. Antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin section is required. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended.\nImmunohistochemistry: Frozen sections\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nHybridoma:\nSpleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the NS1 mouse myeloma cell line.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Additional Info

Recognizes a monomorphic determinant of the rat I-A antigen present on B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, some macrophages and certain epithelial cells. Crossreacts with a polymorphic determinant on mouse strains of the H-2 haplotypes k and s. Analysis of recombinant mouse strains has mapped the OX-6 determinant to the H-2I-A region. Does not react with the rat BDIX strain due to a defect in RT1B expression. Species Crossreactivity: mouse
