Rubella virus is an enveloped positive-strand RNA virus of the family TOGAVIRIDAE: Virions are composed of three structural proteins: a capsid and two membrane-spanning glycoproteins, E2 and E1. During virus assembly, the capsid interacts with genomic RNA to form nucleocapsids.\n\nThe protein contains the Rubella Virus Capsid C regions, aa1-123 and is fused to a GST tag at the C-terminus.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nSpecificity:\nImmunoreactive with sera of Rubella Virus infected individuals.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
