RXR beta

Retinoids are metabolites of vitamin A that play important roles in vertebrate development and regulation of the differentiated state of adult tissue. Two families of nuclear retinoid receptors have been identified and designated RAR and RXR, respectively. The RAR family, which includes RAR a, RAR b and RAR g , has a high affinity for all-trans retinoic acid (RA) and belong to the same nuclear receptor class as thyroid hormone receptor, vitamin D3 receptor and ecdysone receptor. The RXR family of retinoic acid receptors is comprised of members RXR a, RXR b, and RXR g. These receptors are activated by much higher concentrations of RA and belong to a different class of nuclear receptors. \n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected RXRb (48kD) in 20ug of human HeLa nuclear extract and rat pituitary lysate.\nImmunoprecipitation: 4-10ug immunoprecipitates rat RXRb that had been translated in vitro.\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies:\nI1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb\nI1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb\nI1904-46Q: IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab Gt xRb\n\nRecommended Positive Antigen Control: \nH1838: Add an equal volume of Laemmli reducing sample buffer to 5-10ug of extract and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
