Rxrg (Retinoic Acid Receptor RXR-gamma, Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 2 Group B Member 3, Retinoid X Receptor gamma, Nr2b3)

Retinoids are metabolites of vitamin A (retinal) and are believed to represent important signaling molecules during vertebrate development and tissue differentiation. Two families of retinoid receptors have been identified. Retinoic acid receptors (RARs) include RARa, RARb and RARg (MW 50kD), each of which has a high affinity for all-trans retinoic acids and belongs to the same class of nuclear transcription factors as thyroid hormone receptors, vitamin D3 receptor and ecdysone receptor. Members of the retinoid X receptor (RXR) family, RXRa, RXRb and RXRg, are activated by 9-cis-retinoic acid, a stereo- and photoisomer of all-trans-RA that is expressed in vivo in both liver and kidney and may represent a widely used.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2h\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:100 for 10min at RT\nStaining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10min followed by cooling at RT for 20min\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nBreast carcinoma, prostate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
