S100 Protein (Protein S100, S-100 Protein, S100 Calcium-binding Protein)

S-100 protein is found in neuroectodermal tissue, including nerves and melanocytes, Langerhans cells in skin and interdigitating reticulum cells in the paracortex of lymph nodes. This antibody will help detect S-100 protein expression in normal and uncharacterized tissues.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nImmunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:400 for 1 hr. at RT\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nMelanoma. Cytoplasmic and nuclear staining pattern.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
