S100 Protein (Protein S100, S-100 Protein, S100 Calcium-binding Protein)

S-100 protein is found in neuroectodermal tissue, including nerves and melanocytes, Langerhans cells in skin and interdigitating reticulum cells in the paracortex of lymph nodes. This antibody is not recommended for staining neural elements, but stains almost all malignant melanomas.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:20-1:40 for 1 hr at RT\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nMelanoma (cytoplasmic and nuclear staining pattern)\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
