Recombinant GST fusion protein corresponding to full length human SAPK3 expressed in E. coli.
iP38 gamma is a member of the p38 MAPK family which is activated in response to stress. p38g gene was mapped to 22q13.3 and functions as a signal transducer during differentiation of myoblasts to myotubes. Enforced localization of p38g in the nucleus or cytoplasm markedly attenuates the ability of the kinase to induce cell cycle arrest in fibroblasts. p38g increases basal glucose uptake and decreases DNP- and contraction-stimulated glucose uptake, partially by affecting levels of glucose transporter expression in skeletal muscle.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Kinase Assay and MS Tryptic Fingerprint. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions: Kinase Activity: 20.8-57.3ng phosphorylated 0.33mg/ml myelin basic protein.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Specific Activity: ~100U/mg, where one unit of SAPK3 activity is defined as 1nmol phosphate incorporated into 0.33mg/ml myelin basic protein per minute at 30C with a final ATP concentration of 100uM.
Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
