Sarcoglycan, delta (Delta-Sarcoglycan, Delta-SG, SGCD, SG-delta, SGD, SGCDP, 35kD Dystrophin-associated Glycoprotein, 35DAG, CMD1L, DAGD)

Delta-Sarcoglycan is found in normal muscle but has a differential expression in certain instances of muscular dystrophy. This antibody will help identify the presence or absence of delta-sarcoglycan.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:25-1:50\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:50 for 1 hr. at RT\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nWestern Blot: Muscle specific band, or close doublet of bands, at around 35kD. In sarcoglycanopathy patients, both bands in the doublet may be lost, possibly corresponding to alternatively spliced products.\nImmunohistochemistry: Normal human striated muscle frozen in isopentane chilled in liquid nitrogen. Staining pattern continuous staining around normal mus- cle fibre membranes. Less or no staining is observed in patients with LGMD2F (depending on mutations).\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
