SCFR (SCF Receptor, SCF R/c-kit, CD117, c-kit, KIT, PBT) (PerCP)

Stem cell factor receptor (SCF R) is also known as the gene product of the c-kit proto-oncogene and as CD117. SCF R is a tyrosine kinase receptor that belongs to the immunoglobulin supergene family. The protein is encoded by 976 amino acids with a molecular weight of 145kD. SCF R and its ligand, stem cell factor (also called c-kit ligand, steel factor, mast cell growth factor), play essential roles in gametogenesis, melanogenesis and hematopoiesis. Cells known to express SCF R include hematopoietic progenitor cells, normal B and T lymphocyte progenitors, mast cells, germ cells, melanocytes, neurons, glial cells, placenta, kidney, lung, and gut.1-3 In addition, SCF R expression has also been reported in several human tumor cell lines.4-6 A soluble form of the SCF receptor has also been reported.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nHybridoma: \nMyeloma with B cells from Balb/c mice. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4 degrees C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. PerCP conjugates are sensitive to light.
