SCRN1 (Secernin 1, SES1, KIAA0193, Secernin-1)

SCRN1 was first identified as a cytosolic protein that is involved in the regulation of exocytosis from peritoneal mast cells. More recent studies have shown that SCRN1 expression is upregulated in gastric cancer cell lines and may possess epitopes that could function as tumor-associated antigens, potentially providing targets for cancer vaccines in the treatment of gastric cancers. Another report indicates that decreased expression of SCRN1 via RNAi expression resulted in significantly lower rates of cell growth in colorectal cancer cell lines, and increased SCRN1 expression in patients with colorectal cancer correlated with poor prognosis, suggesting that SCRN1 may also be involved in the regulation of cell growth and might be useful as a prognostic tool.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHuman Kidney Tissue Lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
