SEC23A Sec23 Homolog A (S. cerevisiae)

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SEC23 subfamily of the SEC23/SEC24 family. It is part of a protein complex and found in the ribosome-free transitional face of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and associated vesicles. This protein has similarity to yeast Sec23p component of COPII. COPII is the coat protein complex responsible for vesicle budding from the ER. The encoded protein is suggested to play a role in the ER-Golgi protein trafficking.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nPeptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000\nWestern Blot: 1-3ug/ml ~100kD band observed in lysates of NIH3T3 (calculated MW of 86.2kD according to Human NP_006355.2 and to Mouse NP_033173.2. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
