Cat no: S0379-80E

Securin (Esp1-associated Protein, EAP1, Pituitary Tumor-transforming Gene 1 Protein, PTTG1, PTTG, hPTTG, Tumor-transforming Protein 1, TUTR1)

Human securin is also referred to as pituitary tumor- transforming gene-1. It is required for chromosomal stability in human cells for the maintenance of euploidy. Its expression correlates with cell proliferation in a cellcycle dependent manner in normal tissues and several tumor types. Human securin binds to Ku, the controlling subunit of the DNA-dependent protein kinase. This antibody will help detect human securin and further characterize its expression in various tissues.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:50 for 1 hr. at RT\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nTonsil (cytoplasmic and nuclear staining pattern)\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
