Sex hormone binding globulin is a 45kD plasma glycoprotein dimer. It is an androgen transport protein which binds and regulates the free concentration of steroid hormones and is involved in steroid signalling at the cell membrane.\n\nSource:\nSex Hormone Binding Globulin, from human serum plasma.\n\nMolecular Weight:\n~45kD\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunoassays. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability: \nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
