Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) is a NAD-dependent protein deacetylase that activates CPS1 and contributes to the regulation of blood ammonia levels during fasting. Can deacetylate cytochrome c and a number of other proteins (in vitro).
Biological Activity:
HDAC activity.
Sequence:
Human sirtuin 5 (aa 1-310) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag.
Storage and Stability:
Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C
Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C
Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
