SOCS-3 is an SH2-containing protein predominantly expressed in T-helper type 2 cells, that binds to the activation loop of Janus kinases, inhibiting the kinase activity and thereby suppressing cytokine signaling. SOCS-3 therapy may be useful in the treatment of cancer. SOCS-3 has an important role in regulating the onset and maintenance of TH2-mediated allergic immune disease and is a new therapeutic target for antiallergic drugs.
Sequence:
Human SOCS-3 (aa 1-225) is fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag.
Storage and Stability:
Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C
Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C
Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
