Established from the primary tumor of an 81-year-old Caucasian woman with urinary bladder carcinoma (transitional cell carcinoma, grade III) in 1970; described to produce a variety of cytokines (e.g. G-CSF, IL-6 and SCF) and to carry a p53 mutation. Leukocytes and sera from patients with transitional cell carcinoma were cytotoxic to T24 and related lines. T24 cells have a generation time of 19 hours.
